Die komplette „Live im Blau Vol. 1“ Compilation ist endlich für jeden gratis im Internet abrufbar. Unter den neuen Internetseiten auf Facebook und Reverbnation kann jeder einzelne Track als Mp3 herunter geladen werden. Zudem haben wir auch eine neue MySpace Seite eingerichtet, die das Streaming und Importieren der einzelnen Tracks ermöglicht. Gleichzeitig geben wir bekannt, dass die bundesweite Musikpresse-Bemusterung Ende Mai jetzt endlich erfolgt ist. Wir hoffen auf neue Reviews und Berichte. Der auf 1.000 Stück limitierten Tonträger (Digipack-CD) kann derzeit nur im Blau (Jungbuschstrasse 14, 68159 Mannheim), im Come Back (S1, 17, 68161 Mannheim) und über den Webshop vom www.mesmusic.org erworben werden. Beim Kauf eines Mes Music Tonträgers gibt es die Compilation gratis dazu. Natürlich nur solange der Vorrat reicht.

The Blau is in the right place at the right time. Mannheim is Blauheim. A small place with a huge commitment to live music. At the first glance, The Blau seems to look like a pub next door, but actually it´s the center of underground music culture in Mannheim, Germany. Situated in the middle of the historical working-class district „Jungbusch“ it aims to spotlight the musical (sub)cultures that exist inside and outside of Mannheim. The Blau (engl. “Blue”) offers you amazing DJ acts, fascinating art exhibitions and the most outstanding concerts – smoky, sweaty and thrilling – as you´ll know once you’ve been there! This unique live compilation hopefully captures that live spirit and gives you the highlights of each of the artists that took part from December 2009 until December 2010. For me as a music producer it felt like some kind of “recording at home”. The location is very small and totally sold out having 70 people inside. The sound is proudly lo-fi, punkish, warm, rough, intimate, original and beautifully imperfect, yet presented in a way that makes it a listening pleasure even on hi-end hi-fi. It was my intention to bring you this kind of “blue” sound. It’s the music itself that’s right in the centre of attention and lets the audience behave like a part of the music and at times as a “special” musical instrument. I hope that you will enjoy this live compilation. I´m already aching for Vol. 2!
