Im Jungbusch wird Weihnachten in diesem Jahr schon am 21. Dezember gefeiert. Freude!
In der blauen Untergrund-Kathedrale der Jungbuschstrasse 14 wird Mes Music in Zusammenarbeit mit der Popförderung Mannheim die zweite „Live im Blau“ Compilation präsentieren. Der Tonträger dokumentiert die Konzerte des vergangenen Jahres 2011, die im Blau veranstaltet wurden. Mit von der Partie sind diesmal u.a. Leckerbissen von Blurt, Wreckless Eric & Amy Rigby, Klotz und Dabeler und des Mannheimer Underground-Helden Schwefel, so wie auch alte Bekannte des ersten Samplers, TV Smith und Binoculers.
Zwölf Bands mit zwölf Songs nehmen uns mit auf einen musikalischen Live-Trip von Indie über Jazz-Punk, Folk, und Disco-Trash bis hin zu Rockabilly, Chanson und Bluegrass. Zu hören ist ein echter und unverfälschter Live-Sound, der aus jeder Pore unserer Lautsprecher tropft.
Das alles muss gefeiert werden! Natürlich im Blau, natürlich mit Live-Musik und natürlich mit anschließender Party mit den blausten DJ´s des Hauses. Vol. 2 erscheint als limitierte Sonderedition im 6-seitigen DigiPak. Cover- und Artwork gestaltete wie im letzten Jahr Birgit Rampe (btrieb.de).
Am Freitag, dem 21.12.2012, gibt es ab 21 Uhr drei Hammer Bands im Dreierpack, denn im nächsten Jahr wird sogar schon VOL. 3 veröffentlicht. Im Blau werden folgende Mannheimer Bands die Bude rocken:

Yes, we’ve still got the worst PA system in town (one broken monitor included) but on the other hand – and that´s essential – we have the best bands of the world playing and the most awesome girls and boys dancing. All in all it´s the hottest underground sound of the one and only Rock´n`Roll high school in Mannheim: BLAU
It´s a fucking privilege to see artist like Blurt, TV Smith or Wreckless Eric in such a small and intimate place. Call it a club, call it a pub or call it Kneipe. A place where the sound is definitely not high definition – but that’s filled with smoke and sweat. It´s direct, it´s straight, it´s authentic.
Do you know something about „bootlegging“? The idea behind this compilation is some kind of authorized live bootleg propelled by the DIY punk-rock attitude. And of course it´s a document of the underground live culture in this district of Mannheim called Jungbusch. How does it work? Take two channels of the main out, one of the monitor out, one or two room microphones and if possible one overhead for drums and then shake it wild.
